With Leonardo

The relationship that Raphael have with his brother Leonardo is a bit of love and war. Leonardo is the leader, role that Raphael (the second brother in order) think to have rights to be more then him. The truth is that Raphael is an hot head and even if he share good quality for a leader that part of him makes those quality disappear. In fact Leonardo is balanced in any characteristic. Once the fight is done, expecially in the 4th movie, Raphael understand that every of them have a role in their group and that is place is to be the one who is always ready to attack as an a ram and when necessary express a different opinion of the leader.

Looking forward this rivaliry Raphael care a lot of his older brother in fact more then once he scream his name during the 2003 animation in the hard moments showing his true feelings for his brother.

With Michelangelo

Cat and dog. The right sample to express their relationship is the cat and the dog one. Michelangelo adore to instigate Raphael's anger with his jokes and sometimes Raphael tyr to conunter attack him touching his weak points that are the comics, his love for the super heroes and videogames. Unfortunately even during the Battle Nexus in the animation Michelangelo use the strategy of make Raphael mad to win.

Raphal is very usual hit Michelangelo's head in order to "scold" him for his bad jokes or ideas. But after all as usual Raphael cares of his family and show a great love for them even if usually cealed in his naughty attitude.

With Donatello

The relationship with Donatello is very calm, the only one without angst or anger in the middle. They respect each others and understand themself. Pratically Raphael and Donatello are the exact opposite. Donatello is calm and very smart, Raphael is always mad and very strong. But this won't mean that they don't care of each other. In fact Donatello gifted Raphael with a motocycle that he adore and the use very frequently and that have care as a baby.

Rarely Donatello and Raphael are together or you can see them have some problems each other, expecially because Donatello prefer to avoid problem showing his quiet character and dedicate hislove for tecnologies, in countrary Raphael express well his hate for everything and vent himself using the box bag.

With Master Splinter

As a father, Splinter care of each of his brother but with Raphael he have a particular attention usually because of his inner anger. He is always worried that the part who makes his son irate could hurt him and try to teach him the calm but sometimes with not good results. In the movies it's more clear how much he tries to make him understand that yes Leonardo is his favourite pupil but not his favourite son and that Raphael have nothing less then Leonardo but that the anger inside of him is a beast who can bring him to horrible situation.

In the animation Raphael inner anger is lower then the one showed in the comics and the movies so the relationship with Splinter is the one of a devote son with rivoluationary ideas who wish to leave on the surface and the sunlight. But Splinter remember him that they are ninja and that their places are in the shadows and that, unfortunately, the world outside will never understand them completely and that it's better for them to keep themself inside the shadow and the sewer.

With Caesy Jones

Caesy is the first human we can say who accept Raphael when he saw the first. Their first met wasn't of the most loyal since Caesy, as Raphael, had an inner rage who makes him does some unreliable acts even if they were done for the best as save the people in troubles. Raphael strangely try to calm Caesy with the same words that Splinter used for him and after a rescue from a trouble (where Raphael use his new moto for the first time) he became is bestfriend, the only one who Raphael talk about himself and his inner doubts and problems. Since they are very similar they understand each others and each tastes. Both of them loves moto and own one and care of them a lot.

Lot of times Raphael tried to help Caesy to conquer the April's heart also in some episodes expecially a Christmas one where with Angel they try to makes him have a kiss from April putting the mistletoe.

With April

The relationship with April is very ordinary in the animation and comics, but in the movie Raphael is the one who rescue April when she is in troubles with the Foot Soldiers. In fact in the first movie the girl really care of Raphael and ask of him, she even thank him from the television and take care of him when he is in coma (replacing Leonardo in the official story). As for the others, April care of Raphael as a sort of little brother.

With Karai

We can say that Raphael totally hate Karai. He can't stand her attitude of "honorful warrior" when she is the dear pupil and daughter of the Shredder and for this reason he can't trust her at all. He dislike also that Leonardo has her that dear and that try always to see the good inside the girl. In their first met, Raphael totally refuse to collaborate with Karai and have to talk deeply with Splinter before he turn back and help is brother, but this won't change the fact that he can't stand Karai and her way that she "manipulate" Leonardo sometimes.

With Shredder

As his brother and his whole family, Raphael hate the Shredder, maybe more then the others sometimes. During the movies sometimes he had toface him and his even if with bad results as his capture or coma. In the comics and animations he face him always with his brothers and master.

In an episode of the animations Raphael dream to face the Shredder turned back apparently from the death and when he remove his elmet what he saw his himself as the Shredder.

In a Tales of TMNT Raphael take the path of the Shredder itself and face his brother, but at the end of the comic we discover that it's Michalangelo who is writting a story for a comic.
